Strong Start to 2012

Greater Toronto REALTORS reported 4,567 sales through the TorontoMLS system in January 2012. This number was 8.8 per cent higher than the 4,199 sales reported in January 2011. Sales growth was strongest for low-rise home types in the regions surrounding the City of Toronto.

The average selling price for January 2012 transactions was $463,534 – up by almost nine per cent compared to January 2011. Low inventory is keeping the competition between buyers strong, resulting in the prices of GTA homes to continue to climb. Thinking of selling and getting top dollar for your property? About

I graduated from the University of Toronto in 2008 with a honors Bachelor of Arts Degree- majored in Law and Criminology. The intention was to go to law school but I began taking real estate courses as a personal endeavor and found that I absolutely loved everything real estate. I found that I was so passionate about it that I decided to turn it in to a career. I’ve been working in real estate for almost 5 years now and have had some great success early on. I began working with Remax Realtron in late 2008 and won Rookie of the Year for my branch that year. In 2009 I closed over 5.5 million worth of real estate in and around the GTA-joining the Remax 100% Club. In 2010, I repeated my success, making the 100% club for the second consecutive year! In early 2012 I joined Right at Home Realty and am now a BROKER. The main goal behind this blog is to help those looking to buy, sell or invest in real estate in Thornhill and Richmond Hill. While these areas are my specialty, having grown up there, I also branch out in to central Toronto, Brampton and Mississauga and especially love the new condominium scene downtown. I believe that to be a true professional you not only need to intimately know the market you service but also be knowledgeable about the surrounding areas. I strive to provide my clients with professional and knowledgeable advice to help them realize their real estate goals. Read the blog, comment on it; ask me any questions you may have and enjoy!
